01 · SALARY GUIDE AUSTRIA 2026

Salaries in the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, Austria 2026.

What senior specialists in the D365 ecosystem earn in Austria right now. An overview of F&SCM, Business Central, Customer Engagement, and Power Platform, plus cross-module roles such as Solution Architect, Project Manager, and leadership positions.

02 · WHAT WE SHOW

Ranges, not point estimates.

We show salary ranges for the most common Dynamics 365 roles in Austria, segmented by module and seniority level. The figures are gross annual compensation in EUR, based on 14 monthly payments (standard under Austrian collective agreements), including variable components (bonus, performance pay), excluding benefits (company car, insurance, non-cash perks).

The data is based on publicly available job listings, industry studies, and our own market observations in Austria from two years of sourcing across the DACH region. A full source list is in § 07.

D365 salaries depend heavily on the employer: end customers pay differently from Microsoft Partners, regulated industries differently from manufacturing, Vienna differently from the federal states. If you need a precise read for a specific role, talk to us.

05 · WHAT THE NUMBERS DON’T SHOW

Three factors that move every concrete salary.

A table is always a compromise. The following three factors strongly influence every concrete salary.

INHOUSE OR PARTNER

Microsoft Partners tend to pay 5 to 15 percent more on fixed salary than comparable inhouse roles. On top of that, Partners almost always add a variable component of 5 to 15 percent (utilisation bonus, project bonus, share of contribution margin). Inhouse is usually pure fixed pay, but more predictable and with better social benefits. Note as well that salaries in Austria are typically paid across 14 monthly instalments, which makes the gross annual figure different from a pure 12-month view.

INDUSTRY

In Austria, pharma, banking, and insurance typically pay a premium of 10 to 20 percent over manufacturing or retail. Regulatory density and risk are reflected in compensation.

LANGUAGE AND REGION

Vienna is international: many Microsoft Partners and corporate programmes run primarily in English. In Linz, Graz, Salzburg, and the federal states, native-level German remains the standard. Anyone fluent in both German and English has options in both worlds. Rule of thumb: the more languages at a high level, the better the position, especially with the local language.

06 · FIELD OBSERVATIONS

What we see in the market right now.

Solution Architect profiles with a genuine F&SCM implementation track record are currently the scarcest resource in Austria. The upper end of the range is routinely reached in regulated industries, and in individual cases exceeded.

Power Platform engineers with a pro-code background (C#, plugins, custom connectors) and AI integrations are increasingly compensated like F&SCM Technical Consultants, no longer like pure low-code profiles. This is where we see the strongest pay development over the past 18 months.

Inhouse roles at manufacturing mid-market firms are on the rise. They typically offer 5 to 10 percent less base salary than comparable Partner roles, but more stability, less travel, and a longer-term commitment.

07 · METHODOLOGY AND SOURCES

Data basis of this guide.

The ranges in this guide rest on three types of source: first, publicly accessible salary platforms and job listings; second, published industry studies; and third, our own market observation from sourcing mandates in Austria between 2024 and 2026.

We present ranges rather than point estimates because they reflect market reality more accurately. Concrete salaries depend on factors that no single table can capture.

As of May 2026. This guide is updated semi-annually.
